I saw someone on Instagram, completely unrelated to my interests in literature, share a ‘Terribly Tiny Tale’ with the link at the bottom, and had to have a little delve around for myself. A few weeks ago I posted about Twitter being the controversial stage for David Mitchell’s latest ‘novel’, but Terribly Tiny Tales offer such treatment to tiny stories all year round, but instead of over 100 tweets, their medium is just one. In their own words…

“terribly tiny tales brings together a diverse pool of fantastic writers to create one tweet-sized story, everyday. We invite readers to contribute a word from which the writer picks a word of his/her choice.”

I’ve already debated the logistics of this in my previous blog post, so I’m reluctant to examine it again. However, whether you feel it can be legitimately defined as a ‘short story’ or not, I’ve picked out a few of my favourites in the hope you’ll pass on some of yours too.
