zoeMy name is Zoe Ashton, and I’m an English Language and Literature graduate from The University of Nottingham, currently working as a freelance writer. Put simply, I’m a creative perfectionist, who loves nothing more than a good book, some bloody good food and a bit of crafting with a slightly vintage feel. Actually, if I’m honest, what I’d love most is to be able to eat amazing food without every getting fat, but we can’t always have everything we want, can we.

This blog contains a wide range of work encompassing my above interests and a few bits of randomness – as one of my blog posts about finding a niche suggests, I am a firm believer that a niche is what you make it. I don’t think it necessarily has to be a tiny sliver of the world, but can instead be something really ambitious and large, because let’s face it, we’re not one-dimensional people.

If you’d like to find out more about who I have written for, then please read this post here. I hope you enjoy my blog, and if you have any questions or feedback about my blog or if you’re interested in working with me as a freelance writer, I’d love to hear from you, either as a comment or at: zoe.ashton22@hotmail.co.uk

  1. Fab blog Zoe! Possibly the first blog I’ve followed which isn’t another parenting blog. I was a literature student once too (Sussex Uni) and I still love words – linked to your ‘selfies’ post via mine on the miracle of language acquisition.

  2. Zoe, Your blog is awesome! 🙂 Your fantastic collection of books has inspired me to read more and I’ll be getting my hands on some these books soon. If only, I knew what your blog was then I would have followed you beforehand. Keep it up the great work!

  3. Oooh, I like what you do here.:) And I like your “About”: “Put simply, I’m a creative perfectionist, who loves nothing more than a good book, some bloody good food and a bit of crafting with a slightly vintage feel.”- — Good food, crafting, and vintage? Oh, I will keep coming here to see what’s new.:D

  4. Hej from Sweden, Zoe! It’s looking good on your blog already 🙂
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and commenting too! I’m glad you found something you like 🙂
